The world is scary, big, vacant, overpopulated, complex, unrelenting, forgiving, bright, immutable, overwhelming, magical. It is so many things and yet nothing we can describe with brilliant clarity or knowing. But everyday we try. The truth is we are not looking for peace or knowing, for happiness or health, for pain or an end. We search in the highest snow-pierced mountains with icy lungs, down to the crushing pressures of black turbulent waters for something more simple: to feel, whatever that may be. To feel is to be alive.

Everyday we try. We tell our stories. And we discover again and again: joy, pain, crushing anxiety, wonder, and connection. If feeling is to be alive; then connection is to share a life.
